About Us

We have been living in Thailand since 2005 and have dealt mainly in hospitality business.   

In early 2020, Covid 19 dealt a blow to our business and we were forced into retirement.  This gave us an opportunity to our efforts into something we had been thinking of doing – starting an online store to  sell batik products. 

We chose batik because we had been fascinated with how a piece of white cloth could be turned into a beautiful piece of garment. The colours and patterns are limited only by our imagination.

Our first exposure to batik was Indonesian batik. The patterns were more traditional and the colours were either vivid or somber.  They were great for functions. When we went back to Malaysia, we could see that the patterns were more diverse and casual. And in Thailand, they were cheerful and colourful. 

These different styles gave us the encouragement to want to share the information to you. We want our store to be more than just a place where you could buy a unique piece of clothing .  We want you to share our passion for batik and learn to love them as much as we do.
